Top 5 Samsung Devices to Get Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Update

In March 2013, Sammobile received information on Google's plan for update roll out of the next generation mobile operating system - Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. According to the report, 5 Samsung devices are expected to get the next version of Android.

However, it was not clear in the report which devices are the chosen ones. But then lately an UnwiredView report stated, that the Samsung devices which will receive the update might be Galaxy S4, S3, S2, Galaxy Note 8 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Galaxy Note 2, and the Galaxy Note 10.1. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is expected to unleash during May 2013 at the Google I/O conference which will begin on May 15 and end on May 17. The event is scheduled to take place in San Francisco at Moscone Center West.

While Google has not confirmed the existence of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean successor, but the tech world is filling with rumors and anticipations as to what might the next Android version will hold. Of course, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will come as a beefed up version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is speculated to support new features like IR blasting and high performance for eight core processor handsets.

Going by the other information leaks, it can be said that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will come equipped with new performance profiles, social media integration, cross-device SMS syncing, enhanced multi-device support, App preview capabilities and built-in video chat.

When explaining the features briefly, basically the performance profiles feature would offer Android users to control battery-draining functions by turning off the sound, data transfer, screen brightness, background updates and more which would help in sustaining the battery life of the Android smartphone.

Moving on further, the social media integration would let Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie device users to experience an enhanced sharing content on social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. In addition to social media integration is rumored to include cross-device SMS syncing, which means that Android users will be allowed to switch out the SMS card, or, if they use services such as Google Voice to keep track of SMSes.

On the other hand, the multi-device support feature will offer users to switch between devices more easily. In addition, enhanced multi-device support would allow users to resume the movie from any Android-enabled device in the house including TVs, tablets and smartphones.
