Google Now Updated with Support for 40 Third-party Apps

Google Now, is an intelligent personal assistant developed by search engine giant Google. Announced at Google I/O in June 2012, it is available in the Google search mobile apps for both Android and iOS, along with the Google Chrome web browser on the personal computers.

To improve the performance, Google Now has been updates with third party apps. According to the officials, the search engine giant is allowing 40 third party apps to generate Google Now cards. Some prominent third party applications includes, Airbnb, Urbanspoon, eBay, Waze, Instacart, Pandora, Lyft, TripAdvisor, eBay, RunKeeper, etc are in that 40 list.

On the blog, Starting today, the Google app on Android can help you keep up with all the good stuff in 40 different apps at a glance-it'll bring you Now cards to help you out with your day-to-day life, giving you information that's helpful to you, right when you need it.

However, to get these benefits in Google Now, users have to install the respective third party, also they have to give permission to Google Now to access the data from third-party apps, which can be changed in Google Now's Web & App Activity settings. Apart from mobiles and laptops, it will be available on the Android wears, where the updates for wrist based software are likely on its way.

Google has informed that, the card updates will be rolled out in upcoming days and also planning to expand the third party applications in the future.
