iOS 9 Set for 2015 Release? 5 Changes We Want to See From Apple

Apple has always been at the fore-front of anything that's tech. From the yesteryear's Mac computers, to the current generation iPhones, the company has seen it all. But it's still moving ahead with newer innovations in the field almost everyday.

One of the highlights of Apple's dominance in the industry has been via its iOS operating system. Each year, similar to Google's Android, we see different versions with an upgraded model coming up. And you need not mess your brain much to know that iOS 9 is also on the cards next year.

While details related to the next version of iOS are few and far, we have indeed managed to chalk out a few things that we want to see from the next big OS release from Apple. And here the top 5 among them.

Quit Fighting Jailbreaking

Quit Fighting Jailbreaking

We feel it's high time Apple stopped fighting the fact most users look to jailbreak their devices as soon as it's out of the box. Sure Apple takes a lot of steps in preventing jailbreaks, but there are determined users who always seem to find a way out. Barring the illicit ones, it's also a great way of getting more new features Apple wouldn't have offered normally. But chances of this happening is equal to traveling all around the world in 80 minutes.

Widgets for Home Screen

Widgets for Home Screen

Apple has done a lot of work when it comes to improved notifications. Everything you need related, you will find in the Notification Center. And while all that's well and good, we would really love to see Apple improvise on this and add home screen widgets in the later versions of the OS. We understand that keeping the home screen clean is a major thing, but it wouldn't hurt to offer users a way to customize their home screens.

Lesser iTunes Dependence

Lesser iTunes Dependence

Just because you love the entire iOS experience, doesn't necessarily mean you will also like whatever that's coming bundled along. And one such thing is the iTunes. We have heard a lot of people irritated by the fact that you are forced to use iTunes whenever you connect your iDevice to a computer. Apple need not ditch iTunes, but it should also offer a separate option in this respect.

Make Siri More Human

Make Siri More Human

It would be a lie if we said Siri isn't one of the most exciting pieces of tech on the planet. This voice assistant from Apple has been a talking point for many over the past, and we feel that it's high time she comes out of that shell and be more human. Just make her sound like a normal human lady rather than a voice that fits the wife of R2-D2.

Potential Release Date

Potential Release Date

As we said before, we have no real clue as to when the next iteration of iOS might come out, but we do have a gut feeling that it will arrive sometime in September next year. And that can be taken into account riding on the fact that the last few versions of iOS arrived in September. But even if it doesn't, we are sure it will users by the end of the coming year. Keep your fingers crossed!
