Nokia Rolling Out Minor Software Update for Nokia 808 PureView and 701 Handsets
For Nokia Symbian mobile OS might be dead, but for millions of Indians; it still exists. Last year, the Finnish giant has revealed that the company likes to support once mighty OS until 2016. As the tech vendor already adopted Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS; there is a thin change of company getting back to Symbian party.
Recently, the mobile manufacturer announced that its 41-mega pixel ducked Nokia PureView 808 is the last high-end handset that supports Symbian OS. However, the vendor still makes affordable S40 powered feature phones. Remember Nokia Asha series? Reported by All About Symbian (via GSMArena), Nokia has released a software update for the PureView 808 and Nokia 701. The firmware update is a tiny one. Nokia calls the update as ‘Telephony Update’ and it is primarily meant to fix bugs. The update can be downloaded via Wi-Fi or high speed 3G connections.
