Nokia Music App Now Available for Windows 8/RT Devices [Download Link]
Nokia is making constant efforts to improve the user experience and draw more consumers in every genre to switch to Lumia devices by adding more and more features and softwares to Windows Phone 8 operating system.
Consequently, the Finnish tech manufacturer has launched a new app for music enthusiasts - Nokia Music app - for the desktop and tablet version of Windows 8. The new application is claimed by the company to offer Nokia Music+ subscribers more out of what is expected from the service.
According to Nokia Conversations latest report, the Windows 8 app builds on the HTML5 access first brought with Nokia Music.
"With Windows 8/ Windows Phone 8 sharing the same development kernel, we were able to create the core experience true to the mobile app, and very quickly," said the report.
"It carries the same look and feel that people enjoy with the Windows Phone app, but brings it to larger screens with high quality rich media that encourages people's journey of discovery - a great example being recommendations for more music right on the player screen, " added the report.
Nokia Music app for Windows 8 is available for free download from the Windows store and will come with features including: 7 Day trial of NM+, with an in-app upgrade path (30sec clip mixes outside of the trial period), 100's of curated mixes from Nokia experts and international artists, ‘My Music' playlist MP3 library, mix recommendations based on the music playing, Artist Mix, Offline mix, favourite artist search, artist pages with high quality artist images, biographies, tweets, gig info (including Here mapping), Snap View, Play To and more.
However, currently, Nokia Music for Windows 8 is available only for countries such as UK, US, Ireland and Australia, although the company will be rolling to all counties with Nokia Music+ in the coming weeks.
