Apple offers info about metro maps on phones in China

Those passengers using the metro in Shanghai, China can access the information like the routes, stations, maps and washrooms with this new mobile phone application. Shanghai Shentong, metro operator launched this app on Sunday. This is app for all the mobile phones but is initially launched for Apple. The app provides information about the 11 metro lines of the city.

This app has many useful features and they are:

one tap for the station to station first and last train departure timings

advanced planner for journey with some conditions like minimum transfer, optimal route, last departure time and earliest arrival time

fare for all the routes

multiple selection methods for stations like GPS location, drag, name of station and favorites

online updates supported

available in English and Chinese

With this RGuide Metro application, the passengers will be able to get the real time suggestions about the lines that are crowded and also on alternative routes. As of now, this app is made available on for Apple devices and it is soon expected to be launched for the other mobile phone platforms also.
