After announcing an update to Windows and Android platform this month, popular note taking app Evernote has finally confirmed the next version for Apple Mac – Evernote 5.
Informed by the developers on the official blog post, the app is planned for a beta release on October 29 and the new version will include more than 100 new features and an updated user interface. Evernote has also released a video alongside the announcement which demoes the latest features and the swift UI of the app.
The new Evernote app for Mac will feature a sidebar, which will provide access to shortcuts to the user's favorite notebooks, notes, and tags, making it easy to quickly access to the content. Also included is a Recent Notes section, which displays the five most recently-edited notes, as well as dedicated buttons for accessing and organizing notes, and a right-click feature for viewing expanded lists.
Further according to SlashGear, the app will feature an updated Notes List offering a single list of all the notes from personal and Joined Notebooks. Snippets view with a note’s notebook and its shared status, while Cards view will allow users to browse notes in the form of cards. Also added is the ability to add/change a note’s location via either the “Location” text field or a button that automatically inserts the user’s current location.
