Facebook Messenger App is launched for Windows
Facebook, the social networking website has now launched the most awaited app, the Messenger application for the Windows platform. This app combines the best features of Facebook like ticker, chat and notifications as well in a very small window that is accessible easily.
This is a desktop messenger app and it allows users to use it without even logging into the Facebook website. Users can receive the latest updates from their friends, notifications on what is happening and also chat with their friends who are on Facebook while they are performing some other work like browsing the net or using some applications.
The first version of this application is being tested with a small user group and in this period of trial, Facebook will roll out the changes to this app to improve it. This Messenger app in Windows is actually highly advanced when compared to the same in Android, iOS and Blackberry.
The reason for it being advanced is the presence of the real time notifications and the ticker updates. However, this app lacks the support to group chats and video calls for the time being. Facebook claims that these features will soon be added to the application.
