Top 2 Ways To Fix Waiting For This Message Error On Whatsapp

WhatsApp is a platform for sending messages and more than billion people use this platform for sending texts, images, and audio. WhatsApp regularly updates its version for improving the security and the quality of the service. End-to-end encryption is the new feature updated by WhatsApp for improving the security.

With this feature, the messages are made impenetrable and only the sender and receiver can view the original text. Others cannot intercept the message. Third-party members and the government cannot snoop the messages sent through WhatsApp.

Working method:

In this end- to - end security features, unique private and public key will be generated. It is done between the sender and the receiver. The sender's message, image, audio or any other file will be encrypted using public key and the encrypted file will be unlocked in the receiver's phone using private key.

Reasons for the error message:

Mostly it occurs when you reinstall the WhatsApp for uninstalling it. Once the sender sends the message it will be encrypted since you reinstall the WhatsApp, the old private key which is used to decrypt the message will be deleted and to read the message again the WhatsApp must generate a new private key to decrypt the message. For generating the new private key both the receiver and sender must be online.

The error message will also occur when you change the phone or if you move your account to a different device. This error message will also occur when the sender uninstalls the WhatsApp or if they change their account to a new phone.

Ways to fix this error message in WhatsApp:

Method 1:

If you like to view the message quickly then you can Backup and restore the WhatsApp messages. This method is a little difficult. Use this method only if it is urgent. If it is not urgent then wait for the automatic back up or ask the sender to come online.

Step 1: Go to the settings and select the Chats option.

Step 2: After that select the chat backup.

Step 3: Select the backup option. All the messages will be back up and saved in the local storage. You can also use google drive option for taking backup.

Step 4: After taking full backup uninstall the WhatsApp

Step 5: Reinstall the app and follow the steps to set up. Give access for the WhatsApp to use the local storage.

Step 6: Restore all the messages you stored in the local storage.

After completing all the above-mentioned steps now you can view the original messages instead of the error message.

Method 2:

As mentioned earlier wait for the sender to come online. The private key will be generated once the sender is online and using the private key the message will be decrypted and you can now view the message.
