Following the footsteps of Netflix, Google has updated its Gmail app for iOS to fit the larger screen display size in iPhone 5. Google has informed that the latest version titled 1.3.1415 has been optimized for iPhone. But Google has not mentioned any other major improvements to the app with this update.

The app’s support for the 4 inched screen size of iPhone 5 has arrived at a time where small time app developers are struggling to cope up with the demands of the new device. Google seems to be leading the way and this latest update by Google is expected to motivate a vast majority of developers to consider making their apps, more compatible with iPhone 5.
