Instagram Adds Reels Linking Feature – Here’s How to Use It
Instagram, the Meta-owned social media platform, has introduced a new feature that allows users to connect multiple Reels into a series. This update helps followers engage with related content over time.
Instagram stated, "We're excited to announce that you can now link reels on Instagram to make it easier for creators to organize your related content and help viewers follow along and discover more of your reels!''

How to Use Instagram's Linking Feature
Linking Reels helps you organise related content into a series, making it easier for viewers to follow along and discover more of your Reels. You can also connect new or previously shared Reels with just a few steps:
Step 1: Create and edit your Reel as usual.
Step 2: When you reach the caption screen, you will see the new option to 'Link a reel'.
Step 3: Select the Reel you want to link. (Note: You can link only one Reel at a time.)
Step 4: Now, add a title for the linked Reel. The title of this reel will only appear on the reel it's linked to. If you don't add a title to your linked reel, it will default to 'Linked reel'. (Note: Titles have a 15-character limit and can be edited or removed later.)
Step 5: Tap OK, then share your Reel.
How to Link a Reel You've Already Posted?
To link a Reel you've already posted, follow these steps:
- Open your Reel and tap the ⋮ (overflow menu) on the right.
- Now, tap on 'Link a reel' option and select one
- Give a title and select ok.
How to Edit or Unlink a Reel
You can edit or unlink your linked reel at any time. Once you unlink a reel, it no longer appears on the reel.
- To change the linked Reel, tap Change reel.
- To remove the link, tap Unlink → Unlink again.
