Instagram Beta For Windows Phone Now Offering Lock Screen Support
Instagram has easily turned out to be one of the most popular photo sharing services on the Internet and on Smartphones in recent times. And while the mobile-based app has made quite a name for itself on the likes of Android and iOS, it's still requires some time before it gains same kind of traction on Windows Phone. However, as of now, it seems like it's walking the right route.
According to reports, Instagram users on Windows Phone 8 devices can now download and install a new version of the Instagram BETA app on their devices with new features and bug fixes. The app has been bumped up to version 0.4.0.0.
The main improvement that's included in the new app version is the support for the lock screen - a feature that has been heavily demanded and anticipated all this while.
But now with the new update to Instagram BETA 0.4.0.0, Windows Phone 8 users will be able to personalize their phone's lock screen making use of photos from the application.

On updating to the latest version of Instagram Beta, users will be able to use the app for powering the lock screen on a device. The update will then fill up the lock screen with a boatload of photos from either the user's friends' feeds or the user's own feed.
Also, the home feed will show up all the newer photos from all the people the user is currently following on Instagram. Apart from that, the other feed will focus on the photos and even highlight them.
