Instagram Launches Diwali-Themed Effects for Stories and Edits App: How to Use?

On the occasion of Diwali, Instagram has launched Diwali-themed image and video effects on Instagram Stories and video effects on the Edits app. With this, users can enhance their photos and videos in Instagram Stories and videos in the Edits app with these special effects

Instagram says that these limited-edition effects will be available for a limited duration of two weeks. Now, let's check how to use Diwali-themed effects on Instagram.

Instagram Rolls Out Diwali-Themed Effects

Diwali effects are already available on Instagram, accessible through Restyle. You can choose from three vibrant Diwali effects, and each effect is inspired by the rich traditions, colours, and vibrancy of Diwali.

The options for images are named as 'Fireworks', 'Diyas' and 'Rangoli' and for video are 'Lanterns', 'Marigold' and 'Rangoli'. Now, check how to use these effects:

How to Use Diwali-Themed Effects On Instagram

Step 1: First, go to Stories by clicking on the "+" on your profile photo or swiping left.

Step 2: Now, select an image or video from your camera.

Step 3: Now, tap the Restyle icon (paintbrush) in the top bar.

Step 4: Finally, you can navigate to the effects browser and choose from the Diwali options. Once you select the effect and tap "Done" and share your story.

How To Use Diwali-Themed Effects For Videos On Edits

Step 1: First, go to Edits and tap the "+" button to create a new project in the Projects tab.
Step 2: Now, you can choose a video from 'Reels', 'Camera' or 'Gallery'. Then you have to tap the video, and it appears in your timeline.
Step 3: Scroll along the icons that appear at the bottom of the screen and then tap on 'Restyle'.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Diwali' header and select one of the effects.

Step 5: Once your restyle is complete, click "Export" and post.

It's also worth noting that these effects will be live until October 29 and will be available in India and several other countries, including the United States, Canada, Singapore and Australia.
