Tinder is currently the leader in online-dating apps that has millions of active users, most of them being millennials and gen-z. According to the annual "year in swipe" report from Tinder, climate change is a trendy topic, especially amongst the gen-z users.

According to the report, millennials connect over adventure, whereas gen-z users are into climate change. Most of the gen-z user profiles either suggest their passion for climate change and social justice.

Compared to the gen-Z, millennials are interested in topics like adventure and traveling on their profiles. Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old environmental activist was one of the trending personalities on Tinder for 2019, who refused to fly due to the green-house gases produced by a flight.

Some of the trending keywords on Tinder for 2019 includes real, travel, lit, woke, cause/mission, connection, stan, explore, tea, and snack. Trending topics on Tinder includes Billie Eilish, Green New Deal, Captain Marvel, Jonas Brothers, Elizabeth Warren, Jordyn Woods, Fyre Festival, Lizzo, Game of Thrones, Old Town Road.

It looks like Area 51 was also one of the topics that people were interested in. Though no one has found an alien, they sure got a partner to hunt the area.

People have also used to show their interest in politics (at least in the US), where personalities like Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were some of the trending politicians.

India Specific Year in Swipe

Tinder has also released country-specific videos for the Tinder year in Swipe and the Indian video suggests that using the hashtag wanderlust might have changed your luck and it was the most trending term on India user's bio. Besides, Indian Tinder users have also used keywords like equality and article 377 in abundance.

2019 Tinder hall of femme for India includes personalities like Lilly Singh, Beyonce, and Ariana Grande. When it comes to events, ICC World Cup was the number one hashtag. The final part of the video says how Sapiosexual and Not Here For Hooks Ups are still in Indian Tinder users' bio.
