NASA app will live stream the solar eclipse 2017
You can watch the solar eclipse with this app.
Today, the United States will witness one of the rarest solar eclipses. NASA, the aeronautical research body has come up with a way for all to observe the same.
Those who own an iOS device or an Apple TV can watch the live stream of the Solar Eclipse 2017 on their device. This eclipse is a rare one and during the celestial movement, the moon is claimed to be seen between the path of the Sun and earth for the longest duration of around 2:40 minutes.
According to NASA, the partial solar eclipse will debut at at 9:06 AM PDT (approx. 9:36 PM IST) today on the Oregon coast. The eclipse will end later in the day as a partial one along the coast of South Carolina at 2:44 PM EST (approx. 12:15 AM IST on Tuesday). NASA has launched a slew of streaming programs for people to watch the eclipse and its path of totality. These streaming programs are available only for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV. These programs will help those who live far away from the path of totality who want to witness the same.
Interested Apple users can stream the live broadcast by downloading the NASA app for iOS from the App Store. The users of the 4th generation Apple TV can download the NASA app for tvOS and host a preview show from the start of the eclipse. The preview will be telecasted from Charleston in South Carolina and will last for four hours on the whole.
Now, coming to the Android users, the NASA app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for the Android users to witness the eclipse. Also, Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets can stream the event. There will be a partial eclipse in the other countries while the U.S. will witness a celestial event after 38 years.
