YouTube Unveils Exciting Updates For Creators And Commerce At Made On YouTube 2025 Event
YouTube has unveiled a series of updates at the Made on YouTube 2025 event, aiming to redefine the future of creation, connection, and commerce. Neal Mohan, YouTube's CEO, emphasized AI's role in enhancing creativity. He stated: "No studio, network, tech company, or AI tool will own the future of entertainment. That power belongs to creators." Over the past four years, YouTube has distributed more than $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies globally.
AI is set to transform YouTube Shorts by making them more interactive through Google DeepMind's Veo 3 Fast. This allows creators to generate backgrounds or short clips with sound at no cost. New AI features include motion and restyle tools for video adjustments and prop additions for scene customization. Additionally, Edit with AI can convert raw footage into draft videos, while speech-to-song transforms dialogue into soundtracks.

Enhancing Creative Tools in YouTube Studio
YouTube Studio is evolving into a comprehensive creative hub. A new conversational tool called Ask Studio will provide creators with insights to enhance their content strategies. Other updates include title A/B testing and improvements to the Inspiration Tab and auto-dubbing features. Creators will also have the ability to collaborate directly within Studio. Furthermore, YouTube is expanding its likeness detection tool in open beta for Partner Program creators to manage AI-generated videos using their facial likeness.
Innovations in Live Streaming and Podcasts
Live streaming continues to be a significant engagement driver, with over 30% of logged-in viewers watching live daily in Q2 2025. YouTube is introducing its most extensive live upgrade yet, offering tools to deepen fan engagement, reach new audiences, and enhance monetization options. Podcasts are also receiving new tools; creators can now cut Shorts and clips from full episodes. Veo will assist podcasters without video resources by generating customizable videos directly from audio files.
Strengthening Connections Between Artists and Fans
YouTube Music is introducing new features like countdowns and pre-saves to boost fan engagement with upcoming releases. Beyond music, creators can offer exclusive perks such as thank-you videos, behind-the-scenes content, and special merchandise to their top supporters.
Expanding Brand Collaborations and Shopping Features
YouTube is simplifying brand partnerships by introducing updates that allow direct links to brand sites in Shorts. A new initiative aims to accelerate collaborations between creators and businesses. Meanwhile, YouTube Shopping is expanding into more markets and merchants. AI will facilitate automatic product tagging, enabling easier integration of shopping features into creator content.
The rollout of these new features will continue throughout 2025 into early 2026. Currently available are Veo 3 integration in Shorts and Ask Studio in select regions. Title A/B testing and new podcast tools are expected soon over the coming weeks and months. Broader updates like likeness detection expansion and live streaming upgrades will be introduced gradually until early 2026.
