WeChat for Android Updated with Message Recall Support

Good news for all of you out there who use WeChat. According to reports, the popular IM app has received a brand new update that bring the new message recall support to it. That's good news!

Tenacent, the developer for the app, has updated WeChat's Android version to v5.3.1. The app now features the option to recall sent mesaages with contact tags and even the option to download images via Wi-Fi.

"When you are in the heat of the moment and send a message you didn't mean to, WeChat is here to save you! WeChat 5.3.1 for Android and iOS has a cool new Message Recall feature allowing you to recall any message sent within the last two minutes instantly! Simply hold the message and tap the 'Recall' button - Voila, it's like the message was never sent," the official release for the same states.

So what are the new changes that have arrived with the updated version of the IM app? There's one called Tags for Contcts that allows you to tag contacts with keywords.

To enable the feature, go to the Contacts tab and select a name -- Tap the Settings icon above -- Press Set Remarks and Tags and later put keywords for the contact in the Tag field.

Apart from that, you can also save all your favourite messages under one single banner. You can later quick view them without scouring through the messages individually.

Also, with the update, WeChat 5.3.1 for Android and iOS now has an updated and clean UI.
