WhatsApp Could Soon Let You Add Cover Photos to Your Profile, Like Facebook

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will soon allow users to set cover photos, similar to Facebook. The feature is said to be in beta testing on both iOS and Android.

Additionally, WhatsApp is also working on a feature that lets users manage privacy settings for cover photos, which means you can manage who can view your cover photos, like WhatsApp DP and status.

WhatsApp to Soon Let Users Add Cover Photos

According to Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is developing a dedicated section within the profile interface that will allow users to choose a cover photo. The layout suggests that the cover image will appear above the existing profile details. Users will be able to select an image from their photo library, similar to WhatsApp Business, and will also have the option to remove the cover photo if they wish.

Additionally, WhatsApp is working on a dedicated privacy section for cover photos, giving users control over who can view them. These settings are similar to privacy options already available for Last Seen, Profile Photo, and About.

The privacy options will include "Everyone," which allows all users to see the cover photo; "My Contacts," which limits visibility to people saved in the user's address book; and "Nobody," which completely hides the cover photo from other users. Users will also be able to hide their cover photo from specific people by selecting the "My Contacts Except" option.

This feature is currently under development and is not yet available to beta testers. Once it rolls out to beta users, it is expected to gradually become available to a wider audience.
