WhatsApp Subscription Plan in the Works

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now working on an optional subscription plan designed to offer a richer user experience through added customization options. With this subscription, users are said to get access to premium stickers, app themes, and the ability to pin more than three chats. Additionally, WhatsApp is said to introduce a dedicated set of chat ringtones.

Moreover, the report suggests that WhatsApp will allow users to customize the app icon, offering multiple new icon options for a more personalized look. However, since the subscription plan is still under development, some features and details may change or be added before the official release. As of now, there is no information regarding the rollout timeline. According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to offer access to this premium subscription plan via a waitlist. Once users join the waitlist, they will be notified when the plan becomes available.
