WhatsApp to Soon Let Users React to Status with Stickers

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will let you react to status updates with reaction stickers. This feature is currently in development and not available for beta testing yet. First, this feature was spotted for the Android version.

Now, it is working for the iOS version, which was spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta version 25.31.10.72 for iOS, which is available on the TestFlight app. Here's what to expect from the upcoming feature:

WhatsApp's Reaction Sticker Feature

This Reaction sticker feature is similar to Instagram Stories. By tapping these stickers, viewers will be able to express quick reactions in a fun way. This new addition will make your status interactions more engaging, allowing users to express their feelings instantly through interactive emoji stickers placed directly on their photos or videos.

Users can fully personalize the emoji used in their status updates. Before posting, one can choose from the complete emoji set, selecting the one based on their mood. When your friend reacts to your status update using a reaction sticker, you'll get a real-time notification. Each notification will include the name of the contact and the specific emoji used for the reaction.

As of now, there is no confirmation regarding the rollout timeline. We expect it will soon be available for beta testers, followed by a wider release later. Stay tuned with us for the official announcement.
