WhatsApp for Windows Phone Temporarily Pulled Down Due to 'Technical Issues'
Here's some major bad news on a Monday morning if you are an owner of a Windows Phone-powered handset. According to reports, popular multi-platform messaging app WhatsApp has been removed from Windows Phone Store owing to technical issues.
With the app now removed from the store, if anyone tries to find the WhatsApp app on the Windows Phone Store via their Windows Phone devices, they will be greeted with the unfortunate message, "We couldn't find a match."
Windows Phone Central recently received a feedback from WhatsApp detailing the reasons for pulling down the app from the Windows Phone Store. The developer stated: "Unfortunately due to technical issues, we have chosen to un-publish WhatsApp Messenger on the Windows Phone platform."
"We are working closely with Microsoft to resolve the issues and hope to return to the store shortly. We apologize to our users for the temporary inconvenience."

Interestingly though, the instant messaging service is still listed on the Web interface of the Windows Phone Store; though the listing says that "This app is no longer published."

As of now, there is no word on when or whether the WhatsApp app for Windows Phone will be brought back with fixes for the technical issues. The WhatsApp app for Windows Phone has been in place for the respective devices since 2011.
