Google's Affordable AI Plus Expands to Global Markets: Check Subscription Price, Features, Benefits
Google has widened access to its cheaper Google AI Plus plan, making it available in every market where the company currently offers AI subscriptions. Customers in the U.S. now pay $7.99 per month, which places the plan below many rival tiers while keeping links to Google’s wider cloud services.
Pricing changes across regions, but the Google AI Plus plan is often under $5 in many countries. In India, users are charged ₹399 per month, which is about $4.44 in U.S. currency. The subscription is also positioned against OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan, which costs $8 per month in the U.S.

Features offered under the Google AI Plus plan
The Google AI Plus plan combines several AI products within a single subscription. It includes access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro inside the Gemini app for general assistance. Subscribers can also use Flow’s AI filmmaking tools and gain research and writing support through NotebookLM and other connected services.
Alongside AI tools, customers receive 200GB of cloud storage linked to their Google account. Plan benefits can be shared with up to five additional family members, using Google’s existing family sharing system. Existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will automatically receive Google AI Plus plan access within a few days, according to the company.
Global rollout and focus of the Google AI Plus plan
The latest expansion adds 35 more countries and territories to the Google AI Plus plan footprint. Earlier launches covered several other regions, starting with Indonesia in September. Google initially targeted emerging markets, aiming to make Gemini, Veo and creative AI services easier to afford for large groups of online users.
Google describes this subscription as a first step beyond free use of Gemini and other tools. It is designed for customers who do not need, or cannot justify, the higher Google AI Pro plan, which usually costs $20 per month. In the U.S., the monthly $8 price may appeal to more casual users.
Across many markets, these lower‑priced AI subscriptions are meant to attract frequent users who might later increase their spending. Google’s offer competes directly with OpenAI, which also adjusts ChatGPT Go pricing in emerging regions. Both companies want higher AI usage numbers as services become part of standard online activity.
For now, Google is running a promotion on the Google AI Plus plan. Subscribers can receive a 50% discount for the first two months of service, according to the company. This temporary offer applies while the expansion continues and could help users test the tools at a lower starting cost
