Google AI Plus Subscription Gets Major Upgrade With Lower Price and More Storage
Google has cut the monthly price of its Google AI Plus subscription to $4.99, while also lifting bundled cloud storage to 400 GB. The plan keeps its focus on higher AI usage limits and extra tools inside Gemini and other Google services.
At launch in the United States, Google AI Plus cost $7.99 each month and offered 200 GB of storage. The revised $4.99 pricing, or the local currency equivalent in other markets, now pairs with double that storage allocation for subscribers.

Google AI Plus Subscription Features, Tiers, Rollout Details
Subscribers to Google AI Plus receive 2x higher usage limits inside the Gemini app when compared with the free option. The plan supports a 128,000 token context window and unlocks features such as Daily brief, Omni Flash video generation, scheduled actions, and several other tools.
Google has started rolling out the storage boost, and the 400 GB entitlement will appear over the coming days. The lower monthly price will not apply immediately; instead, it will take effect from each customer’s next plan renewal date as billing cycles refresh.
Google has also renamed the existing $9.99 per month 2 TB storage plan as Google AI Plus, aligning the branding across tiers. Beyond Gemini, users gain increased limits in NotebookLM, Proofread and AI Inbox in Gmail, along with broader access in Google Flow, AI Studio, and Antigravity.
Recent changes sit alongside April’s upgrade for AI Pro, which moved to 5 TB of storage without a price rise. At I/O 2026, Google also adjusted AI Ultra pricing, adding a $100 tier and trimming the top option from $250 to $200, signalling wider reshaping of its AI plans.
