Google AI Pro Now Offers 5TB Storage, Up From 2TB, Without a Price Hike

Google has updated its AI Pro subscription by increasing the included cloud storage, while keeping the pricing unchanged. The plan now offers 5TB of storage, up from the earlier 2TB limit.

The update was announced by Google One head Shimrit Ben-Yair and is already rolling out. Users can see the expanded storage reflected across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

More Room for Files, Photos, and AI Content

The jump to 5TB gives users more breathing room across Google’s ecosystem. That includes everything from regular files and emails to photos, videos, and documents.

This matters more now because AI-generated content tends to take up space quickly. Whether it’s images, videos, or documents created through AI tools, storage can fill up faster than usual.

What stands out here is that Google hasn’t changed the pricing. The AI Pro plan still costs Rs. 1,950 per month or Rs. 19,500 per year in India.

Available Across All Eligible Users

The upgrade isn’t limited to new users. Existing subscribers are also getting the higher storage limit. This includes people using the plan through the Google Student Offer or bundled access via Jio.

AI Tools Still at the Core

The plan continues to focus on Google’s AI tools. Subscribers get access to Gemini and Deep Research, along with video and image generation features through Google’s Veo models and Whisk.

Students on the plan receive 1,000 monthly AI credits for generating text, images, and videos. There are also higher limits for features inside NotebookLM, and Gemini is available within apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
