Google Search Live Now Supports Marathi, Tamil, Telugu And More In AI Mode: Here’s How To Use It
Google is expanding its Search Live feature in India, this time focusing on language support.
The feature, which allows users to interact with Search using voice and camera, is now available in several additional Indian languages beyond English and Hindi.

Search Live Now Works In More Indian Languages
Search Live in AI Mode now supports Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and more.
Until now, the feature in India was limited to English and Hindi. With this update, more users can interact with Search in their preferred language, which makes a noticeable difference in how accessible the feature feels.
Instead of typing queries, users can speak naturally and continue conversations in the same language.
Built Around Multilingual Conversations
This expansion is supported by Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model.
The model is designed to handle voice interactions in a more natural way and supports multiple languages natively. That means users don’t need to switch between languages manually while using Search Live.
In a country like India, where people often switch between languages in daily conversations, this kind of support is important for making the feature usable at scale.
How Search Live Works
Search Live is meant for situations where typing isn’t convenient.
Users can open the Google app on Android or iOS, tap the Live icon under the Search bar, and start speaking. The feature responds with audio answers and allows follow-up questions in a conversational flow.
There’s also support for camera input. You can point your phone at something and ask questions about it, and Search Live will respond based on what it sees, along with links for more information.
The same feature is also accessible through Google Lens by tapping the Live option.
Rolling Out Now
The expanded language support is rolling out now and should reach more users over time.
For many users in India, this update makes Search Live easier to use in everyday situations, especially when switching between languages is part of how they naturally communicate.
