Amazon Kindle new tablet models coming soon
Amazon Kindle Fire tablet made quite a stir up in the tablet PC segment when they were introduced. The combination of small price and good features made it a very dangerous competitor for many other tablet giants in the market. The device achieved quite a big sales figure too because of its amazing features.
The sales figures have been going in an upward direction and according to Chad Bartley, who works as an analyst I pacific Crest, 14.9 million Kindle Fire units would be sold during the year 2012. This is quite a load more compared to the 12.7 million which was sold last year. He also predicts a good future for the Kindle Fire tablet. Considering the fact that this is one of the most popular tablets in the world this prediction seems to be likely.
Considering this market scenario the company has plans for launching a 7inch and 9 inch model of the tablet soon. The expectation is that these devices would come out by the mid of this year itself. The new 7 inch model would replace the older one with new and improved features. The 9 inch version would be a bigger option with the new specs and features.
There is no confirmation on the release or other specifications of this device though. There have been rumours of a bigger Kindle Fire some time earlier too. Even before the launch of the 7 inch tablet there where speculations that a 10.1 inch tablet was also going to be released. But it seems like Amazon decided to stay out of the bigger tablet segment and hence no 10.1 inch device was released. After the 10.1 inch claim came the rumour of an 8.9 inch device going to be launched. Some sites have even gone to the extent of stating that these are all set to be manufactured and the orders for manufacturing the tablet have been placed. But that too didn’t happen.
So the credibility of the 9 inch version that is now in the spot light is also questionable. We can just hope that this device would sport some good specs and will see the light of the day. If the 9 inch tablet comes with impressive specs and also at an affordable price tag then other bigger tablets would be facing a stiff competition. For the 7 inch version sufficient improvements in features would get the job done.
