Design
Straight out of the box, the ASUS ROG G700 gaming desktop screams performance with its sleek black finish, ROG branding, and tasteful RGB lighting. The dual tempered glass panels on the front and side offer a clear view of the meticulously arranged internals, striking a balance between style and airflow efficiency.
Once powered on, the RGB lighting subtly highlights the spacious and well-ventilated chassis. With three front fans, a rear exhaust near the GPU, and vents on nearly every side, the G700 is built to handle extended gaming sessions without breaking a sweat. Even the cable management is thoughtfully designed and lit, maintaining a clean, cohesive look throughout.

The G700 channels the look of high-end aftermarket gaming desktops with its dark chassis, tempered glass panels, and abundant RGB, though it adds a few flashy touches like a quirky "kingdom of games" inscription and a plastic shield near the motherboard.
The ASUS ROG G700 is a sizable desktop, measuring 20 x 19.8 x 9.45 inches, and sits securely on four rubber feet. Tool-free side panels with single thumbscrews make access easy, while washable dust filters on the top, front, and bottom offer excellent protection. With six 120mm RGB fans, an illuminated CPU waterblock, and glowing accents in the lower chamber and ROG shield, the system lights up any room with ease.
Connectivity
Like any gaming desktop, the ROG G700 boasts an extensive assortment of ports, most of which are located on the back of the machine. On the rear, you'll find 1x RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 3x audio jacks, 4x USB 2.0 Type-A, 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, offering plenty of connectivity for peripherals, displays, and networking. Additionally, the RTX 5080 GPU features 1x HDMI 2.1 port and 3x DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, allowing seamless connectivity with multiple high-resolution displays.

The front panel is equally accessible, featuring 1x headphone jack, 1x mic-in, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C-perfect for quick access to flash drives, headsets, or external accessories during intense gaming sessions. On the wireless front, the G700 supports Wi-Fi 6 for ultra-low latency and smooth online gameplay, along with Bluetooth connectivity for seamless pairing with wireless peripherals.
Gaming Performance
Armed with cutting-edge components, the ASUS ROG G700 is built to tackle even the most demanding games with ease. Its combination of raw processing power, next-gen graphics, and high-speed memory makes it a formidable machine for any serious gamer.

Key Specifications:
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 285K - 2.5GHz (36MB Cache, up to 5.7GHz, 24 cores, 24 threads)
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 ROG ASTRAL - 16GB GDDR7 VRAM
- Memory: 32GB DDR5 RAM (16GB x 2)
- Storage: 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
- Motherboard: Asus B860M Max Gaming AX
- Cooling: 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler
- Power Supply: 850W (80+ Gold, peak 900W)
With this robust setup, the ROG G700 was ready to face a barrage of AAA titles in our gaming performance test. We ran a range of demanding titles, and the system crushed every benchmark with ease:
- Rise of the Tomb Raider - 230 FPS on High settings
- Doom: The Dark Ages - 95 FPS on Ultra with Ray Tracing
- Forza Horizon 5 - 240 FPS on Extreme settings
- Lords of the Fallen - 150 FPS on Ultra
- Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand - 175 FPS on Very High
- Marvel Rivals - 300 FPS on Ultra with DLSS set to Performance
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - 210 FPS in Multiplayer Mode on Ultra
- Red Dead Redemption 2 - 125 FPS on High Settings
Even after four hours of uninterrupted gameplay, the G700 remained thermally stable. The Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU don't run too hot thanks to the air intakes, numerous air coolers (fans), and a liquid cooling solution. Both components stayed well within optimal thermal thresholds, thanks to the desktop's exceptional cooling layout.

Whether it's visually rich single-player epics or competitive multiplayer chaos, the ROG G700 delivers blistering frame rates without compromising on temperature or stability. Unfortunately, due to the lack of a 4K monitor, we had to test all titles at 1080p resolution. However, judging by the numbers above, you'd have no issues running these titles in 2K or 4K resolution.
Performance Benchmarks
In Cinebench R23, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU scored 2,146 points in the single-core test and a remarkable 40,496 points in the multi-core test, outperforming even high-end workstation chips like the 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX. This firmly establishes it as a multi-core beast, ideal for heavy multitasking, content creation, and demanding gaming workloads.
In Geekbench 6, the ASUS ROG G700's Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU achieved an impressive single-core score of 3017 and a multi-core score of 20,878, highlighting its excellent balance of raw speed and multi-threaded performance for both gaming and productivity workloads.

In the 3DMark Time Spy Extreme benchmark, the ASUS ROG G700 delivered a strong overall score of 15,441. In the VRMark Orange Room benchmark, the ASUS ROG G700 achieved an impressive score of 19,731. Based on the CrystalDiskMark benchmark results, the 2TB NVMe SSD in the ASUS ROG G700 delivers blazing-fast sequential read speeds of up to 6132 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5689 MB/s, ensuring rapid game load times, seamless file transfers, and overall snappy system performance.
These benchmark results collectively showcase the ASUS ROG G700 as a powerhouse desktop built for enthusiasts who demand top-tier performance across gaming, productivity, and content creation.
Software
The only bundled software with the ASUS ROG G700 is Armoury Crate, which acts as a central hub for system monitoring, updates, and customization. It provides real-time data on component frequencies and temperatures, along with access to Fan Xpert for per-fan RPM control, including CPU cooler fans.

RGB control is handled via Aura Sync and Aura Creator, though lighting customization is limited, the motherboard and three RGB strips are grouped together with no individual zones. Presets like static, breathing, rainbow, and music sync are available, but advanced effects are restricted by the system's basic RGB hardware. Peripheral control and macro settings are also included.
Upgradeability
The ASUS ROG G700 doesn't just impress out of the box, it's also well-equipped for future upgrades. The B860M MAX GAMING AX motherboard features four DDR5 U-DIMM slots with support for up to 128GB of memory, ensuring plenty of headroom for memory-intensive tasks.
Graphics and expansion are equally future proof, thanks to one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and three PCIe 4.0 x16 slots. For storage, the system includes three M.2 slots for fast NVMe SSDs, though traditional storage expansion is limited as there are no 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive bays in the chassis. Despite this, the G700 offers excellent flexibility for users looking to expand performance over time.

Verdict
The ASUS ROG G700 (2025) delivers exceptional performance with its Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, making it ideal for high-end gaming, content creation, and multitasking. It's built for users who want power without compromise, offering excellent thermals, striking design, and top-tier hardware.
Priced at ₹3,54,990, it's undoubtedly expensive, and a similar DIY build could save you ₹30,000 to ₹40,000. However, that comes at the cost of convenience, possible compromises on components, and the lack of fine-tuning, support, and warranty that ASUS provides.
For serious gamers, content creators, or users who value hassle-free performance and peace of mind, the ROG G700 justifies its premium price. While not the most budget-friendly option, it's nearly worth every rupee for the sheer power, aesthetics, cooling, thoughtful design, and convenience that make it more than just a prebuilt machine. It is a well-rounded, high-performance gaming investment.
