JioPC Now Works With Any Internet Connection, Turning Your Old PC into a Cloud Computer: Plans Start at ₹1,000
Reliance Jio has expanded JioPC into a standalone cloud computing service that can upgrade existing computers without requiring new hardware. The service can provide up to 16GB RAM and 1TB cloud storage, potentially giving older PCs a new lease of life.
Unlike the original JioPC offering, the updated service is no longer restricted to JioHome broadband customers. Users can access it with an internet connection from any telecom or broadband provider.

JioPC Plans and Price in India
JioPC is available in Standard and Ultra variants, with subscription periods of two months, five months and 10+2 months.
| Plan | RAM | Storage | Price |
| JioPC Standard | 8GB | 500GB | ₹1,000 / 2 months |
| JioPC Standard | 8GB | 500GB | ₹2,000 / 5 months |
| JioPC Standard | 8GB | 500GB | ₹4,000 / 10+2 months |
| JioPC Ultra | 16GB | 1TB | ₹1,200 / 2 months |
| JioPC Ultra | 16GB | 1TB | ₹2,500 / 5 months |
| JioPC Ultra | 16GB | 1TB | ₹5,000 / 10+2 months |
Since JioPC runs in the cloud, a stable internet connection is required. Jio says the service can work over broadband as well as reliable 4G and 5G networks.
JioPC Can Revive Older Computers
The service is primarily aimed at users with computers that have become slow, lack storage or struggle with newer software. Jio says an existing PC can access cloud-based computing resources without requiring a hardware upgrade.
According to the company, setup takes less than five minutes, with no new hardware installation or data migration required. Jio also claims that computers around eight years old can access the processing, storage and capabilities required for AI-powered applications through JioPC.
However, the actual experience will depend heavily on internet speed, latency and connection stability since computing resources are delivered remotely.
JioPC: From JioFiber to Any Internet Connection
Jio originally launched JioPC in July 2025 as a cloud-based virtual desktop service for JioFiber and Jio AirFiber users. It was accessed through a Jio set-top box with a keyboard and mouse, offering a virtual Ubuntu PC with 8GB RAM and 100GB cloud storage.
The latest version removes the Jio broadband and set-top box requirement, making JioPC a standalone subscription that can run on existing computers connected to virtually any internet service.
