Amazon’s Great Freedom Festival Sale Starts August 1: Deals, Bank Discounts, and Early Prime Access

Amazon is kicking off another sale in India, this time around Independence Day. It’s called the Great Freedom Festival 2025, and it’s going live on August 1. You can expect discounts on stuff like phones, laptops, home appliances, and plenty more.

If you’re a Prime member, you get to shop a little earlier than the rest. And if you use an SBI credit card, there are extra savings in store.

Prime Users Get Early Access

So here’s the deal: the sale starts August 1 for everyone, but Prime members get a 12-hour head start. If you’re not already on Prime, you can still sign up. Plans start at ₹299 for a month. There’s also a ₹599 plan for three months and a ₹1,499 yearly option. If you just want the shopping benefits, there’s a ₹399 version for that too.

SBI Card Offers and Other Discounts

Amazon is working with SBI Card this time, offering up to 10% instant discount if you pay using their credit cards or through EMI. That’s on top of other offers like exchange deals and no-cost EMIs, which help make the bigger buys a bit more manageable.

You’ll find deals on a wide range of products—phones, tablets, Amazon devices, big appliances, the usual stuff. Amazon’s also bringing back its 8pm Deals, Trending Deals, and other limited-time offers that change quickly and sell out fast.

What Else to Expect

The sale doesn’t have an official end date yet, but you can expect Amazon to start teasing some of the deals ahead of time. They usually throw in Amazon Pay perks, extra coupon-based discounts, and other small bonuses too.
