India's smart glasses market has been growing steadily, with brands such as Pebble and Lenskart offering camera-equipped glasses for users looking to capture content on the go. However, the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses remain among the most popular options, combining a familiar Ray-Ban design with cameras, speakers, microphones and Meta AI features.

Ahead of the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale, the first-generation Ray-Ban Meta Glasses are already available at a significant discount, making them considerably more affordable than their original asking price.

Ray-Ban Meta Glasses Gen 1 Deal

The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) Wayfarer in Large Shiny Black is currently listed on Amazon at Rs. 22,425, compared to its usual retail price of Rs. 29,900. Buyers can also get an additional flat Rs. 5,000 instant discount when paying with eligible bank cards, provided the transaction value is at least Rs. 10,000.

With the listed discount and bank offer combined, the effective price comes down to Rs. 17,425. The Amazon listing also mentions an SBI card offer that brings the effective price down further to Rs. 15,425.

Other frame and lens combinations are available, although they are priced higher. Buyers should check the final price and applicable bank offers at checkout before placing an order.

For context, the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses launched in India in 2025 at a starting price of Rs. 29,900 for select Skyler and Wayfarer variants in Shiny Black. The Wayfarer Matte Black variant was priced at Rs. 32,100, while the Skyler Chalk Grey and Wayfarer Matte Black designs were listed at Rs. 35,700.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 Features and Specifications

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 glasses feature a 12-megapixel camera paired with an LED recording indicator. The camera can capture photos at up to 3,024 x 4,032 pixels and record 1080p video for up to 60 seconds. Captured content can be shared across Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.

The glasses also feature a five-microphone setup, enabling users to livestream from a first-person perspective directly to Facebook and Instagram. They are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform SoC and come with 32GB of internal storage.
