Google Partners with Reliance to Bring Gemini AI Pro Free to Jio 5G Users: Who’s Eligible and How to Get It

Google is teaming up with Reliance Intelligence to make its most advanced AI tools available to more people in India. As part of a new partnership, Jio Unlimited 5G plan users will get access to Google’s AI Pro plan, which includes the company’s latest Gemini 2.5 Pro model, free of cost for 18 months.

The rollout will begin with users aged 18 to 25, before expanding to cover all eligible Jio customers across the country.

Google’s Most Capable AI, Now Built into Jio Plans

The collaboration gives Jio users access to some of Google’s most powerful AI features directly through the Gemini app. Subscribers will be able to use Gemini 2.5 Pro, a more capable version of Google’s generative AI model designed for complex reasoning, text generation, and creative workflows.

Beyond chat and productivity, users will also gain access to Nano Banana and Veo 3.1, two of Google’s creative AI models built for generating high-quality images and videos. These tools, previously available only through paid Google subscriptions, will now be bundled into Jio’s 5G plans at no extra cost.

The plan also includes expanded access to NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered note-taking and research companion, which helps users organize study materials and summarize documents automatically.

A ₹35,000-Plus Value at No Extra Cost

According to Google, the benefits offered under this partnership are valued at around ₹35,100 when purchased individually. Along with AI tools, eligible users will get 2 TB of cloud storage shared across Google Photos, Gmail, and Drive, along with backup support for WhatsApp chats on Android.

The offer will be available through the MyJio app, where users can activate their access once the rollout begins. While Google and Reliance haven’t specified an exact start date, the announcement confirms that the phased rollout will start later this year.
