Sony WH-1000XM5 Drops to Rs 18,490 in Amazon Sale, Here’s How to Get It Even Cheaper
The Sony WH-1000XM5 has dropped to Rs 18,490 on Amazon during the Great Indian Festival sale. That is Rs 16,500 off its Rs 34,990 MRP, and among the lowest prices this headphone has sold for in India. If you want proper noise-cancelling headphones before a flight or the Diwali trip home, now is a good time to buy.
Sony has moved on to the WH-1000XM6 as its flagship, so the XM5 is now the older model. That does not make it a weak buy. You still get Sony's dual-processor noise cancellation with eight microphones, LDAC support for better audio on Android phones, and pairing with two devices at once. Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with ANC on, and a three-minute charge gives you about three hours of music. For most buyers, paying nearly double for the XM6 is hard to justify.

Where to buy and what you will pay
Amazon has the lowest listed price right now at Rs 18,490. Sony's own festive offer, live on ShopAtSC and Sony Center stores since October 8, sells it for Rs 22,990 with Rs 2,000 cashback, which brings the effective price to Rs 20,990. Reliance Digital lists it at Rs 31,990, so skip it unless your local store agrees to match the online price.
How to get the best deal
Start with Amazon, but do not hit buy straight away. Open the bank offers section on the product page first. Amazon is giving up to 10 percent instant discount on eligible credit and debit cards, which can take the price a little lower depending on the maximum discount your card allows. If you do not have an eligible card, No Cost EMI is a better choice than paying the full amount upfront.
Also check who is selling it. Buy from a listing that carries Sony India warranty, not a random third-party seller offering a price that looks too good. Compare colours as well, since Black, Silver and Midnight Blue are often priced differently during sales.
Sale prices on Amazon change through the day, so add the XM5 to your wishlist and check back if the price goes up when you visit.
