Spotify Is Offering a Free 3-Month Premium Standard Trial to Select Users: How to Check If You Are Eligible
It looks like Spotify is quietly running a limited-availability offer in India, where some users are seeing three months of Premium Standard for ₹0, followed by a monthly charge of ₹199 after the trial period. The promo doesn’t appear to be universal, so it seems to depend on eligibility rather than being a blanket rollout for everyone.

Well-known tech tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) posted a screenshot on X showing that he personally received the offer.
For clarity, I personally don’t see the offer on my account. I’m still on the older ₹119/month legacy Premium Individual plan, which hasn’t switched over to the new pricing structure yet. That could be why the promo doesn’t appear for me, and it’s possible that users on older plans or with past trial history may be excluded.
How To Check If You're Eligible
If you want to see whether you can claim the free three-month trial, here’s the exact path inside the app:
- Open Spotify
- Tap on the Premium tab at the bottom
- Scroll until you find Premium Standard
- Look for the banner mentioning 3 months at ₹0
- If eligible, proceed with the checkout page
If you don’t see it, there’s no manual way to enable it — it’s likely account-based or dependent on payment history.
Quick Recap Of Spotify’s New Plan Lineup
