Steam Winter Sale Is Live With Up to 90% Discounts on Select PC Games

The Steam Winter Sale 2025 is now live, and like every year, it’s pulled PC gamers back into browsing mode. The sale runs until January 5, 2026 (11:30 PM IST), and it brings discounts across a wide range of games, though not everything is discounted heavily.

This isn’t a sale where every title suddenly drops to a throwaway price. Some games are meaningfully cheaper, others only slightly so, and a few barely move at all. It’s very much a pick-and-choose situation.

Big Names Are Discounted, But Not All by the Same Margin

You’ll see plenty of familiar titles on sale, including Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tsushima, Diablo IV, RimWorld, Dispatch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

In most cases, these are moderate discounts rather than massive price cuts. If you were waiting for a small nudge to justify buying one of these, the Winter Sale might be enough. If you’re hunting only for extreme bargains, you’ll need to look more carefully.

EA and Ubisoft Are Running Their Own Sales Too

Alongside Steam’s broader Winter Sale, a couple of major publishers have their own promotions running inside the store.

EA’s sale includes a wide spread of discounts, with older titles seeing the biggest drops. Games like F1 25, Battlefield 6, Split Fiction, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are part of the offers, though the discount level varies by title.

Ubisoft’s Winter Sale follows a similar pattern. Titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, For Honor, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Far Cry 5, and Watch Dogs 2 are discounted, with deeper cuts mostly applied to older entries.

A Few Deals Stand Out More Than the Rest

Some individual prices are drawing more attention than others. Detroit: Become Human is currently available for ₹199, making it one of the lowest-priced full-scale PC games in the sale. Wallpaper Engine is also selling for around ₹200, which is close to its usual sale low.

There are also noticeable discounts on Sons of the Forest and the superhero comedy Dispatch, along with plenty of mid-sized and indie games sitting at more approachable prices than usual.

Steam Awards Voting Is Live During the Sale

The Winter Sale also overlaps with voting for the 2025 Steam Awards. Players can vote from a shortlist of nominated games while browsing the store, which is usually a good excuse to revisit titles from earlier in the year.

Epic Games Store Is Running Its Holiday Sale as Well

If you’re checking prices across platforms, Epic Games Store has its Holiday Sale running until January 8, 2026. Discounts vary by title here as well, with older games generally seeing larger cuts.

Epic is also rotating free game giveaways during the sale, and purchases made using its payment system earn Epic Rewards, which can be used toward future games or add-ons.
