All the New AI Features Arriving with the Latest Windows 11 Update
AI has become a part of our everyday lives. A recent consumer AI report commissioned by Microsoft reveals that nearly 60% of people have used generative AI for work and business tasks over the past year. Even more, around 64%, are using AI for hobbies and personal interests like art, music and DIY projects.
Building on this growing trend, Microsoft has announced a new Windows 11 update that brings several functional upgrades for Windows 11 and Copilot+ PC users. The update aims to make Windows more intuitive, more accessible and ultimately more useful. Let's take a look at the exclusive AI superpowers like Recall, Click to Do, and improved Windows search.
Changing Windows Settings Just Got Smarter
Adjusting settings in Windows is now simpler than ever, thanks to the new AI-powered agent built for Copilot+ PCs. Just type what you want to change-like "enable quiet hours" into the Settings search box, and the agent will suggest one-click actions to instantly make the change. If a setting can't be changed directly, enhanced Windows search will still guide you to the right place.
The agent in Settings is available for Windows customers using English on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, with availability on Intel and AMD devices coming at a later date.

Do More with Click to Do
Click to Do brings smart, contextual actions to text and images on your screen-helping you work faster without switching windows. Just press the Windows key + mouse click, Windows key + Q, or access through the Start menu and Snipping Tool.
Once activated, relevant text or visual actions will appear that include the ability to prompt Copilot, search the web, create bulleted lists, start a draft of a document or email, or even schedule a Teams meeting-all without leaving your current window. New actions include - Practice in Reading Coach, Read with Immersive Reader, and Draft with Copilot in Word.
Photos App Gets Pro-Level Lighting Control
The new Relight tool in the Photos app brings professional lighting controls to your images. Just open a photo, go to Edit > Relight, and place up to three virtual light sources around your subject.
You can now adjust each light's intensity, color, and position using simple sliders or choose from built-in presets like "Studio Portrait" and "Cinematic Glow."
Paint Gets Creative Capabilities
Paint now features an AI-powered Sticker Generator-just type a prompt, and it creates custom stickers you can add to your canvas, copy, or save for later. Additionally, it's getting Object Select, an AI tool that lets you easily isolate and edit specific elements in your image with a click.

Snipping Tool Gets Two New Features
Microsoft have added two new features to Snipping Tool-perfect screenshot and color picker. The Perfect Screenshot is an AI-powered feature (exclusive to Copilot+ PCs) that captures exactly what you need, without the need to crop or resize it post-capture. All Windows 11 users also get a new Color Picker to quickly identify and grab any color from the screen with ease.
Do more with Microsoft Copilot and Edge on Windows 11
Copilot Vision on Windows, now available in the U.S.,making your Windows 11 experience smarter and more intuitive. When you enable it, it can see what you see on your device and talk to you about it in real time.
Some of these new features are rolling out gradually over the next month via controlled feature rollout (CFR). Some are already available through this month's Windows non-security preview update and Microsoft Store updates.
To get early access, go to Settings > Windows Update and turn on "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available." Then select "Check for updates" to download and install.
