The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, is one of the largest showcases of new technology in the world. Hosted by the Consumer Electronics Association in Las Vegas - the gambling capital of the world, CES 2013 will open to press and exhibitors from every facet of the electronics industry.

From January 8 to 11, CES 2013 will be a mix of keynote dazzle, sneak peeks at the latest tech and a slew of product launches.

Since quite sometime, the tech media has been revealing a lot of image leak, launch rumors and more, which is quite common during the early days of trade shows including CES.

Samsung

Samsung the South Korean tech giant as usual is believed by tech experts to launch several products at CES 2013, but obviously not the highly anticipated Galaxy S4. Despite having the best-selling smartphone in the world, Samsung is reportedly preparing to re-brand itself at CES 2013. But, that is not all from the company as it is looking forward to launch many devices.

One of the main product to be showcased by Samsung is the flexible/bendable AMOLED screens of 5.5 inches and 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Also, the company is rumored to come up with non-bendable Super AMOLED displays with full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

When it comes to tablet, Samsung is rumored to come up with a 13.3 inch tablet similar to the Asus Transformer in terms of functionality and the leaked Galaxy Note 7 with the model number GT-N5100.

Also, the company could announce the Tizem smartphones and Galaxy S4, but, there is a chance of Samsung to launch them later.

Sony

Speaking of Japanese tech giant Sony, news about the company have been doing rounds on the web since quite sometime as there are several rumors and speculations regarding its upcoming Android smartphones. However, there is no clear information on whether these handsets will be made official at the CES 2013 or MWC 2013 slated to happen in the next month.

The Android smartphone lineup expected to be unwrapped by Sony include 5 inch Yuga, 5 inch Odin and mid-range HuaShan. Of these handsets, Yuga and Odin are rumored to come with a full HD 1080p display and Exmor RS camera.

HTC

Only a month ago HTC released two killer devices into the market - Droid DNA and HTC One X+. Apparently, it seems like these are not enough for the Taiwanese manufacturer, as it is rumored to launch a couple more smartphones.

The first speculation came in June 2012 when a possible line-up of HTC Windows Phone 8 devices was leaked to have a 4.7 inch display and to be named Zenith. The other Windows Phone 8 device - HTC Titan 3 also made its presence in a survey. Recently, rumors of M7 with a 5 inch 1080p display started spreading like fire.

LG

For those who have had the chance to come across the CES 2013 teaser posted by LG, it would have been clear that the company is too excited for the event.

There are increased possibilities for the company to launch the thin bezeled smartphone with 5 inch 1080p display - Optimus G2. Also, the company might come up with a 100-inch Laser TV with the ability to project full HD 1080p images.

Further, the company is also set to unveil new Google TV sets in five different sizes ranging from 42 to 60 inches.

Huawei

Huawei has not one but two smartphones confirmed for the Vegas show: the Ascend W1 and Ascend D2. The W1 as the W suggests will be Huawei's first Windows Phone foray, while the D2 is getting an Android OS.

Huawei's CEO has expressed his view claiming that the 5 inch D2 will be too powerful and thus too expensive for the average consumer. Huawei's 1080p display, quad-core 1.5GHz processor and 13MP camera are certainly specs to admire.

Further, the company is also in talks for its upcoming 6.1 inch Ascend Mate phablet, which would set an all new level of competition to Galaxy Note 2, the hottest selling phablet.

Asus

Recently, a 10 inch Asus tablet - ME301T MemoPad was leaked through e-commerce distribution sources revealing its 10.1 inch display, Tegra 3 quad core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.

Also, following the success of Google branded Nexus 7, Asus is rumored to launch an affordable Android tablet - ME172V with a 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display. These rumored tablets might make their presence at the CES 2013.

Acer

There is a solid evidence to claim that Acer is planning to launch a low end tablet - Iconia B1 sporting a 7 inch display with 1.2GHz processor and 1024 x 600 pixel display at a reasonable price tag of $99 at CES 2013.

In addition to this, the company is also expected to launch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based Acer V350 and V 360 smartphones with dual core Snapdragon processor, 720p display and 5MP camera among the rest of the features.
