    Edimax Technology has introduced AR-7186WnA/B, the wireless modem router that has been specifically designed for the Indian market. The ADSL2+ modem router is a high performance one equipped with 5dBi detachable high gain antenna. The router also boasts wireless 802.11n speeds that can reach upto 150 Mbps as well as a plethora of other features. The versatile and redesigned wireless modem router is the perfect fit for homes and businesses which need a reliable, efficient and cost-effective networking system.

    The router imparts outstanding functionality and robust performance with the various features incorporated in it such as advanced MIMO technology, ADSL2+ modem, built-in virtual server, DMZ features, Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) and IP sharing. The AR-7186WnA/B wireless modem router offers data rates faster by six times and coverage to three times as that of a regular and standard 802.11g/b router. It also comes with several built-in security features as well.

    Edimax AR-7186WnA/B supports the ASDSL standards ADSL 1/2/2+ and the enhanced coverage is possible due to its 5 dBi antenna. DMZ functions and virtual server take care of the security of the network during online gaming, VoIP phones and other applications that require open ports.

    The Wi-Fi of the router can be utilized for PCs, smart TVs, game consoles as well as other network devices through a single modem router. With the help of the router, one can share content, printers and media among multiple computers at home or office.

    Edimax AR-7186WnA/B wireless modem router will be available at a price of Rs. 2,660 and is expected to start shipping from March 2013. The router will come with a 3-year warranty.
