From Slim Tablets to 360 Drones: The Most Exciting Launches at IFA 2025
Every September, Berlin turns into the playground for tech lovers. IFA isn’t just another trade show—it’s where companies roll out the kind of gadgets that make you want to pull out your wallet months before launch day. It’s the unofficial kickoff to “Techtember,” and this year is no different.
Here's a rundown of the biggest announcements.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE

For years, Samsung’s FE (Fan Edition) line has promised flagship features at mid-range prices. The Galaxy S25 FE sticks to that formula and feels like the sweet spot for buyers who don’t want to spend $1,000 on a phone. For $649, you’re getting a big AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh, a hefty battery, Samsung’s AI tricks baked into One UI 8, and an Exynos processor that’s plenty capable for everyday use. It’s not about maxing out benchmarks—it’s about giving you most of the S25 experience without the premium price tag.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra

Samsung finally made Android tablets feel like more than oversized phones. The new Tab S11 and S11 Ultra are incredibly thin—matching the iPad Pro in sleekness—yet still pack serious hardware. We’re talking 120 Hz AMOLED displays, a new 3 nm processor, and full support for DeX, Samsung’s desktop-style mode. Toss in the S Pen and Galaxy AI features, and you’ve got a tablet that’s equally comfortable for Netflix binges or work sessions. The Ultra model in particular feels like Samsung’s clearest answer yet to Apple’s dominance in the tablet space.
Lenovo Legion Go 2

Lenovo announced the Legion Go 2, its second-generation Windows handheld gaming PC. This model upgrades to an OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, packs AMD’s new Ryzen Z2 chips, and features improved detachable controllers. A larger battery also promises longer sessions, while the built-in kickstand lets it function as a mini console when docked on a desk.
TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra

TCL introduced the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, a 7.2-inch smartphone that blurs the line between phone and tablet. Its highlight is the NXTPAPER 4.0 display, which is designed to reduce glare, minimize blue light, and mimic the look of natural paper. The screen can also drop to extremely low brightness levels at night, making it easier on the eyes.
Antigravity A1 360-Degree Drone

One of the most eye-catching launches came from Antigravity, a spin-off from Insta360. The Antigravity A1 is billed as the world’s first 360-degree drone, capable of shooting 8K video in every direction using dual lenses. At just 249 grams, it avoids licensing requirements in many countries. Paired with FPV goggles, it offers an immersive flying experience and creative flexibility since you can reframe shots after the flight.
XGIMI Horizon 20 Max Projector

XGIMI revealed the Horizon 20 Max, its brightest home projector to date. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and gaming refresh rates up to 240 Hz with 1 ms response time. Lens shift has also been added, allowing users to adjust the projected image without distortion. It’s aimed at both home theater fans and gamers who want a big-screen experience.
We Are Rewind GB-001 Boombox

French brand We Are Rewind debuted the GB-001, a modern twist on the classic boombox. It works as a Bluetooth speaker, a cassette player and recorder, and even a karaoke machine. With dedicated dials and retro styling, it’s designed to appeal to both nostalgic listeners and anyone looking for a versatile all-in-one music player.
Technics SL-40CBT Bluetooth Turntable

Technics introduced the SL-40CBT, its first turntable with built-in Bluetooth. It includes a switchable phono stage for plug-and-play setups, an Audio-Technica cartridge, and the option to go fully wired for traditional vinyl setups. The goal is to make vinyl playback easier for newcomers without alienating purists.
Hypershell X Ultra Exoskeleton

Hypershell showcased the X Ultra, a wearable exoskeleton designed for outdoor activities. Weighing just four pounds, it uses AI-driven sensors to assist with walking and climbing, effectively reducing strain on the legs. The company is positioning it as a tool for hikers, adventurers, and anyone who wants extra support on difficult terrain.
Ecovacs Deebot X11 Omnicyclone

Robot vacuums continue to evolve, and Ecovacs presented the Deebot X11 Omnicyclone. With suction power rated at 19,500 Pa, it can tackle deep cleaning while climbing higher thresholds than most bots. The mop automatically lifts over carpets, and the base handles both self-emptying and self-cleaning, aiming to deliver a more hands-off cleaning experience.
