Over the week, the Indian tech market has been splashed with a low of budget tech offerings from several manufacturers including local and global vendors. It is quite interesting to note that there is not tablet launch this week.

Moreover, all the smartphones that have been launched fall under budget price points and are equipped with impressive specifications.

Nokia has launched two basic handsets with super fast internet connectivity - Nokia 114 and Nokia 206.

Talking about specs, Nokia 114 packs a 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, 16MB internal storage, 64MB mass memory, micro SD card supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 0.3MP rear camera, Nokia's Series 40 platform, Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS, EDGE and 1,020 mAh BL-5C battery offering up to 10.5 hours talktime and 637 hours standby.

Asha 206 boasts a 2.4 inch LCD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Series 40 platform, 1.3MP rear camera and has no front camera, 64MB free user memory, a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and a 1,110 mAh BL-4U battery offering 20 hours talk time and 680 hours standby.

Nokia quietly unveiled 114 on its India website at a price of Rs 2,549 and has opened the online sale of 206 at Rs 3,499.

Micromax has come up with yet another dual SIM smartphone - Smarty 3.0 A30, which is available at online retailer sites at Rs 3,849. It is also to be noted that the handset is acutally priced at Rs 5,499 and these retailers are offering it at a discounted price tag.

As far as the specifications are concerned, A30 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The handset sports a 3 inch TFT touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 832MHz processor, 2MP rear camera, 256MB RAM, micro SD card supporting up to 32G expandable storage, 512MB internal storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,500 mAh battery.

Intex launched Aqua Trendy and Aqua Flash - two Android dual SIM smartphones at Rs 4,900 and Rs 9,500 respectively.

Aqua Trendy is a Gingerbread based smartphone featuring a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,400 mAh battery.

On the other hand, Aqua Flash is an ICS smartphone featuring a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, 3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 2,100 mAh battery.

The Indian telecom operator has come up with a new 3G dual SIM smartphone based on Android dubbed as Ivory. Powered by Android 4.0 ICS operating system, the handset is priced at Rs 7,390.

According to Idea Cellular, Ivory smartphone packs a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz processor, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot, 3.2MP rear camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1,300 mAh battery.

The Pune Based tech firm has straightaway forayed in the smartphone arena with the announcement of a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 pixels qHD display Android 4.1 Jelly Bean handset - Byond B63.

Priced at Rs 9,999, the new dual SIM smartphone with dual-standby features dual-core 1.2 GHz processor along with a 512 MB RAM, 4GB in-built memory, expandable memory upto 32 GB with microSD, 8MP rear camera with autofocus, VGA front camera, 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth and 2,000 mAh battery.
