There's a lot of disruption going on in the wearable segment. Luxury Swiss watchmakers are concerned of the Apple Watch being a threat to their business.

At least one luxury Swiss watchmaker Montblanc believes that Apple Watch and other smartwatches a great threat. Last month, the high-end watch maker Montblanc announced the "e-strap", an intelligent accessory for its mechanical watch.

Now, a slew of lives images from Watch-Insider brings us a rare view of the smartwatch. The demonstration of the smartwatch accessory was given by Montblanc CEO Jerome Lambert that was held over the weekend in Geneva.

Basically, live photos of the watch reveal rather disgusting side of the e-Strap. The design itself seemed to be rather bulky, making the overall experience boring.

The Montblanc e-Strap packs a 0.9-inch monochrome OLED touchscreen with a 128 x 36 resolution, which sits on the underside of the wrist. Again, the display quality is not going to make any waves, with texts and icons doesn't look either.

The e-Strap will be compatible with iOS and Android devices with a companion app, which it connects using Bluetooth 4.0.

The new wearable is a part of the company's new Montblanc Timewalker Urban Speed collection, but will be sold separately. The e-Strap is available for a cool €250 (Rs. 18,750) and will attach to any 20 or 22mm watch.
