Like the other smartphone companies, HTC is also entering into wearable gadgets now! This can be said, as a new report by Bloomberg claims that the Taiwanese tech giant is planning to launch a new smartwatch along with the latest flagship smartphone rumored to be HTC Hima M9 in March 2015.
Last week, HTC has already sent out invites for its upcoming event in Barcelona, where the mobile maker is already tipped to launch its next generation flagship. Now industry insiders are claiming the the company will unveil its smartwatch in the same event at MWC 2015.
As per the latest report, HTC will launch the smartwatch in collaboration with Under Armour Inc (UA) - a health and fitness service, with which it might readily launch it's smartwatch with all the required apps (like fitness tracker etc). Under Armour has already announced its partnership with HTC back in CES 2015, which was held in Las Vegas earlier this month.
Currently, the tech world is not tipped with any more information detailing on the specification and features of the upcoming fitness wearable, however in the past we have had heard about the rumors of this HTC's watch.
Last year, @evleaks outed an image of an HTC's Android wear which gave us the first glimpse of the smartwatch. Following that, @upleaks also leaked information about the wearable device, when they tweeted that HTC is working on a smartwatch and will release in select markets including North America, Japan, Brazil, Korea and Taiwan.
While, we have already seen all the top smartphone makers entering into the wearable segment last year, including Apple, which also released it's Apple watch in 2014(expected to be available in this year), looks like now its HTC's turn to mark an entry into the wearables segment.
From the past three years, HTC is struggling in the smartphone market to gear up the sales. Apart from the smartwatch HTC One M9 is also said to grab the spotlight in the March event. Reportedly, the folks over at Bloomberg also claimed that the upcoming flagship will have a similar form factor as seen in the predecessor and will also come powered by Snapdragon 810 proccessor.
Further, the report details, HTC One M9 will come slapped with HTC Sense 7 user interface, Dolby 5.1 audio technology and a much-improved camera.
