Apple Home Collection Launched: Smart Cameras, Doorbell and Smart Locks Announced with LG and Schneider Electr
Apple has expanded its smart home ambitions with the Apple Home Collection, a new range of connected home security and climate-control products developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The lineup includes smart security cameras, a video doorbell, a smart deadbolt lock, thermostats and temperature sensors, all designed to work with Apple's Home app.
The new accessories aim to simplify smart home setup by allowing users to manage compatible devices from a single interface, reducing the need for separate manufacturer apps and accounts. Apple is also highlighting privacy, stating that accessories integrated into Apple Home use end-to-end encryption to protect home data.

The Apple Home Collection will begin rolling out in December 2026 through Apple's online store and retail outlets, with some products arriving in early 2027. An India launch is not in the cards yet, and Apple has not announced local availability.
Apple Home Collection Features and Products
The LG Video Doorbell is among the key products in the new lineup. It features a dual-camera setup, with a 2.5K front camera for visitors and a Full HD camera to monitor packages. It also includes a spotlight and a chime that can play through compatible Apple devices.
For outdoor security, LG is introducing a Floodlight Cam with adaptive dual floodlights and colour night vision, alongside an Outdoor Cam designed for flexible placement. The LG Indoor Cam adds a privacy-focused feature that allows the camera to tilt upwards or downwards through the Home app, helping users stop monitoring when privacy is needed.
The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock supports Ultra Wideband-based proximity unlocking with compatible iPhones and Apple Watches. Users can also unlock the door by tapping a supported device, entering a PIN or using a backup key. The lock can detect door activity and tampering, while the Home app allows users to share access with guests.
The collection also includes smart thermostats and room temperature sensors from LG and Schneider Electric, expanding Apple's connected home ecosystem beyond security.
