Apple HomePod Receives iOS 13.2.1 Update To Resolve Bricking Issue
Apple HomePod users have recently reported bricking issues with their devices. To resolve this bug, the company has released the iOS 13.2.1 updated on October 31. The issue was reported just after the release of the iOS 13.2 earlier this week. On the company's support forum, many users have reported the same issue. Apple addressed the issue and recommended users not to reset their HomePod. Here are the details:
The company is rolling out the new update via the Home app, the new update didn't mention anything about additional fixes which was received with the 13.2 updates for Apple HomePods.
According to the reports, the new update will bring multiple-user mode to the smart speaker which will recognize the voice of different people and give access to all the family members. You will also be able to play music, podcasts, and take phone calls directly from the connected iPhone.
The changelog also suggests that the iOS 13.2.1 update will bring support for Ambient Sounds and users will be able to add music to the HomeKit scenes as per the mood and requirement.
The major motive of releasing this update is to fix the bricking issues which were reported by a majority of HomePod users after the iOS 13.2 update. Meanwhile, the company has not mentioned any specific bug responsible for the issue neither explained the reasons behind it.
The update comes with a file size of 975.2MB make sure you have enough space on your device before performing the update. Here are some simple steps which will help you in updating your iPhone.
• First, you need to head to the Home app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
• Tap on the Home icon from the top-left corner which opens a slider.
• Now, you need to click on the Software Update option which will start check the update has arrived at your device or not. Once you saw the download and install option click on it and it will start updating.
• You can also update the HomePod Software via your Mac device.
• You need to open the Home App on your Mac and tap on the Edit option.
• Now click on Edit Home option and then select the Software Update.
• Once you're done you are all set to go.
