Apple Registers 'Apple.car' and Other Auto-Related Domains, hints at an Apple Car
Apple has registered several auto-related domain names. This includes apple.car, apple.cars. And apple.auto. among other.MacRumours reported the story about Apple having bought several of such car-related domain names. None of the domain names and web addresses are active but have been registered by Apple.

Apple's CarPlay is one of the reasons why Apple has registered automobile-oriented domain names. It is also rumored that Apple is working on its own car, more revolving around the Apple's range of products and to integrate Apple iOS interface into its cars.
Some reports say that Apple has a team of workers secretly building an Electric vehicle. However, the date for the Apple Car's entry to the market is likely to be around 2019-2020. So the Car is more likely to reach end-consumers only by 2020. It also becomes clear that Apple is making its foray into the automobile sector.

It is also teased that Apple is recruiting and poaching on employees from Tesla motors, Ford and GM for the project.
While Apple is yet to officially announce any development on Apple's foray into Automobile, it becomes quite evident that Apple wants its own car that could be a parallel to Google's Driverless car or car from Tesla motors.
