Apple has finally given its Apple TV 4K a much-needed refresh, nearly four years after launching the previous generation in 2022. The company has introduced the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K with several upgrades, including a faster A19 chip, an AI-powered Siri experience, and improved home theatre capabilities. There's also a new Siri Remote that should make finding it between your couch cushions a lot easier.

But this isn't just another streaming device with a faster processor. Apple is also making the Apple TV 4K a more capable smart home hub, allowing users to control compatible devices, interact with Siri hands-free, and do much more without reaching for the remote. Apple TV 4K (2026): Features and Specifications

One of the biggest upgrades is the new A19 chip, which replaces the A15 Bionic found in the previous-generation model. According to Apple, the new processor delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU performance and twice the GPU performance. This should translate to quicker navigation, smoother animations, and a more responsive experience overall. The chip also includes a dedicated AV1 decoder for more efficient, high-quality video streaming.

However, the more interesting addition is Siri AI, which brings a completely new voice assistant experience to the television. Instead of relying on specific commands, users can now ask more natural questions to find something to watch. For instance, you could ask Siri about award-winning shows or request more information about a movie you're currently watching.

Siri AI can also understand personal context when connected to a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad. So, if someone recommended a show to you, you could simply ask Siri to play it without having to remember its name.

Apple has also equipped the new Apple TV 4K with three far-field microphones, allowing users to interact with Siri completely hands-free. Apple TV 4K (2026): A New Siri Remote That's Harder to Lose

Apple has also introduced a new Siri Remote with the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. While the overall design remains familiar, the biggest improvement is Find My integration, including Precision Finding and the ability to play a sound on the remote. Interestingly, you don't necessarily need to upgrade to the latest Apple TV 4K to use the new remote. Apple has confirmed that it is compatible with Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K models and will also be available for purchase separately. Find My support is available on the second-generation Siri Remote and newer models.

The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is priced at Rs 39,900 in India. Pre-orders begin on October 13 through Apple's official website and the Apple Store app, with availability starting November 13, 2026.

Apple has also confirmed that Siri AI will be available in beta in India at launch, with support for English.
