Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 India Prices Announced, Sale Starts September 18
Apple has launched the Apple Watch Series 12 at Rs 56,900 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 at Rs 1,09,900 in India. Pre-orders open today and both go on sale in stores from Friday, September 18.
Both watches share the same big change, a rebuilt sensor stack Apple calls the Health Sensing System, with new optical and electrical heart sensors paired with the S11 chip. Apple says this delivers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable, based on its own study of over 1,000 participants against rival devices.
What is new on both
Heart rate is now measured every five seconds all day, with a new complication to see it live. Heart rate variability is measured up to 24 times more often and split into two readings, recovery HRV for daily stress and recovery, and overall HRV for broader health signals.
The headline feature is readiness. It looks at your recent activity, training load, vitals and sleep score, then gives a single score out of 10 with one of four verdicts: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready or Go For It. It keeps updating through the day, so a hard morning session changes what it tells you by evening.
The S11 chip also brings Audio Intelligence in beta later this year. Live Rewind shows the last 15 seconds of a conversation as text, Siri Recap makes high-level summaries rather than transcripts, and Sound Recognition alerts users to sirens, alarms or a baby crying. Apple says no audio is recorded or stored, with a hardware-isolated compartment called Secure Exclave processing and deleting it immediately.
Where they differ
The Series 12 comes in 42mm and 46mm, with new dark bronze, black and light gold aluminium finishes, a radiant gold titanium option, and for the first time a ceramic version in pearl white and night blue. Aluminium models now use Ceramic Shield 2, which Apple says is 60 per cent tougher than the older Ion-X glass. Everyday battery stays at 24 hours, outdoor workout tracking goes up to 10 hours, and 15 minutes of charging now gives 12 hours.

The Ultra 4 sticks to natural and black titanium and pushes endurance much harder. Everyday battery is now over two days at up to 50 hours, or 84 hours in Low Power Mode. Extended Workout mode tracks for 25 hours with full GPS and heart rate, while Max Extended Workout stretches to 45 hours, which Apple says is typically enough to finish a 100-mile race.

Apple Intelligence arrives with watchOS 27 on September 14, but no Indian language is on the supported list. Siri AI launches as an English-only beta, with five more languages in October. watchOS 27 needs an iPhone 11 or later running iOS 27.
