ASUS ROG Celebrates 20 Years With Limited-Edition Hardware at Computex 2026: Xbox Ally X20, RTX 5090 Desktop
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced its Edition 20 collection at Computex 2026, marking two decades of the gaming brand with a mix of limited-edition hardware, software, accessories, and lifestyle products.
Rather than focusing on a single device, the showcase highlights how ROG has evolved from a motherboard-focused gaming brand into a broader ecosystem that spans gaming PCs, handhelds, peripherals, software, and even tabletop experiences.

A Special Anniversary Collection
Edition 20 introduces a new anniversary design language across select products, featuring a combination of black, red, gold, and crystal-inspired elements that ASUS says reflect different stages of ROG's history.
The company describes the collection as both a celebration of its past and a preview of where it's heading next, with a growing focus on AI-powered experiences, ecosystem integration, and high-performance gaming hardware.
ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle Takes Center Stage
One of the more eye-catching products in the lineup is the limited-edition ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle.
The handheld gaming device features a translucent black chassis with gold accents and is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. It also introduces a new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

ASUS says the device supports AI-powered gaming technologies such as Auto SR upscaling and comes bundled with the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses for a more immersive portable gaming experience.
A Flagship Desktop Built for Enthusiasts
ROG also introduced the G1000 Edition 20, a limited-edition desktop designed for enthusiasts and competitive gamers.
The system supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. ASUS says the desktop uses a Tri-Zone cooling architecture paired with a 420mm liquid cooler and can handle up to 1000W of thermal dissipation.

One of the standout features is the AniMe Holo display, which ASUS describes as the world's first holographic fan system integrated into a prebuilt gaming PC.
The desktop recently received a Computex Best Choice Award in the Gaming & Immersive Tech category.
Software Gets the Anniversary Treatment Too
The celebration isn't limited to hardware.
ASUS is also releasing a special Edition 20 version of Armoury Crate, its gaming control software. The update introduces a new anniversary-inspired visual theme designed to match the Edition 20 hardware lineup.
The software will be pre-installed on the G1000 Edition 20 and will be available as a limited-time release throughout 2026.
ROG Expands Into Lifestyle Products
Alongside gaming hardware, ASUS unveiled a collection of anniversary-themed lifestyle products.
The ROG SLASH Backpack Edition 20 features a redesigned look with gold accents and anniversary branding while retaining support for laptops up to 18 inches.

Perhaps the most unusual addition is ROG Saga: In Search of Lapuntu Edition 20, described as the brand's first board game. Built around the cyberpunk-inspired ROG universe, the game supports up to four players and is designed as both a collectible and a playable tabletop experience.

New Strix SCAR 18 Joins the Lineup
ROG also showcased the latest Strix SCAR 18 gaming laptop.
The 2026 model can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. ASUS says the laptop supports up to 320W of sustained system power and features what it describes as the world's first 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED laptop display.
The laptop also includes tool-less SSD and RAM access, making upgrades easier for enthusiasts.
Looking Ahead
The Edition 20 collection reflects ASUS' broader effort to position ROG as more than a hardware brand.
From handheld gaming and flagship desktops to software customization and board games, the anniversary lineup focuses on building a connected ecosystem around gaming culture and the ROG community.
Pricing and availability details for most Edition 20 products have not yet been announced.
