DJI has finally released the DJI Phantom 3 SE. The drone has been developed for beginner pilots and has a flight time of 25 minutes. The Phantom 3 SE has a vision positioning system which allows the drone to hover and fly in a stable way even in areas where there is no connection to GPS satellites.

Although the design of the Phantom 3 SE is no different from Phantom 3 there are a few differences between the two. The latter is former capable of recording 4K videos at 30 fps while the Phantom 3 was only capable of recording videos at 2.7K resolution. The drone also offers a video transmission range of 2.5 miles which is exactly five-times more than the DJI Phantom 3 that offered a 0.5-mile transmission range.

The drone's camera is capable of capturing 12MP images while its lens offers a 94 degree field of view. DJI Phantom 3 SE can reach a maximum flight speed of 35 miles per hour. The most interesting feature of the drone is its capability to return back to a recorded home point. This feature saves the drone from crashing and getting lost if the battery level starts dipping. The drone automatically returns back to home.

DJI Phantom 3 SE has been priced at $600(approximately Rs. 38,000) and is available for sale on the DJI website. The Phantom 3 SE is certainly an improvement over Phantom 3. Given the advancements achieved by drones in a few years, drones with better specifications are now available for far too less what they actually cost a few years back.
