If you remember The 6th Day, a science fiction movie from 2000, you may recall the Arnold Schwarzenegger using a mirror that actually tells him this schedule for the day.

Google Engineer Invented His Own Smart Bathroom Mirror

Max Braun, a software engineer at Google has turned this movie thing into a reality by creating a smart mirror for his bathroom. Braun turned his bathroom mirror into a smart mirror using supplies that are easily available online and offline.

The smart mirror naturally runs on Google's Android operating system, and Braun also used the Forecast API for the weather, while the news headlines come from Associated Press RSS feed. He used Amazon's fire TV stick to run the user interface.

"The display is only a couple of millimeters thin and embedded in a layer between the two-way mirror glass and the door of the medicine cabinet. That way it looks very clean and I can keep using all the shelf space inside," he published his work on Medium.

According to Braun, he is now experimenting with adding traffic updates, voice search and daily reminders, among other widgets.
