Google Pixel Watch 5 Launched in India at Rs 42,900: Here's Everything You Need to Know

Google has announced the Pixel Watch 5 in India alongside the Pixel 11 series, and the wearable arrives in the same 41mm and 45mm bezel sizes as before. The headline changes are on the software side, with Gemini now working on the watch without a phone connection, and a new health layer called Health Guardian that pulls sleep, recovery, and long-term health trends into one place.

Pricing is Rs 42,900 for the 41mm model and Rs 45,900 for the 45mm, which puts it Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 above what the Pixel Watch 4 launched at last year. The increase is smaller than what the Pixel 11 phones absorbed this generation.

Google Pixel Watch 5 Specifications

The Pixel Watch 5 keeps the domed Actua 360 display from the Pixel Watch 4, peaking at 3,000 nits with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass over it, and the case still comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes. The smaller one is meant for wrists between 130mm and 210mm, the larger covers 150mm to 215mm, and both ship with a small and a large Active Band in the box so the fit works out without a second purchase.

The watch is IP68 rated for dust and water, and Google is calling it repairable this time, which is a change in how it talks about the hardware.

Inside is the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Wearable Platform, the same silicon that powered the Pixel Watch 4, though Google says the watch as a whole is 20 percent faster this year with a 12 percent lift in CPU processing. Battery life is quoted at up to 40 hours on the larger model, and the Quick Charge Dock puts back 15 hours of use in 15 minutes, which is Google's way of saying you can top it up while getting ready and still wear it to bed for sleep tracking.

The bigger shift is Gemini running offline on the wrist, so voice requests no longer wait on a phone or a live connection to go through. Around that, Google has expanded the one-handed gesture set, redesigned complications, and added generative watch faces that build a face to your description instead of leaving you to pick from a fixed gallery.

Health tracking is where the company is putting the most weight this year. Health Guardian sits at the centre of it, summarising sleep and recovery through a sleep tracking system Google claims is 15 percent more accurate than the outgoing one. It also produces trend summaries for blood pressure and insulin resistance, with coaching around those numbers coming from Google Health Coach. The blood pressure feature is built around spotting patterns over time rather than giving you a single reading on demand.

On the fitness side, Google says GPS tracking is the best it has shipped on a Pixel Watch, and there are guided strength training sessions that walk you through sets rather than logging them after the fact. Smart Wake alarms time the alarm to your sleep stage, so the watch picks a lighter moment within a window instead of pulling you out of deep sleep. Like the phones, the watch will keep picking up new features through Pixel Drops after launch.

Pre-orders begin on August 12 through the Google Store, and the Pixel Watch 5 reaches retail on August 20, the same day the Pixel 11 series goes on sale.
